This Friday happens to be a big day. First, it's the 10 year wedding anniversary of my trusty hand model and I. Second, it's a celebration of my favorite food, National Quiche Lorraine Day. (It also happens to be two days after our 17-month-old son first said the word "Quiche". Clearly, he takes after mama.)
There are several reasons why Quiche is my absolute favorite food. It's savory, portable, can be eaten any time of day, and is super easy to make with just the basics in your fridge: Eggs, Milk, Cheese, Meat, and Veggies.
Here's a list of where to enjoy some Quiche this Friday from LA to OC.
The Grubdown:
Bouchon in Beverly Hills, CA
- the fluffiest, creamiest, tallest quiche you ever tried, Quiche Florentine with Spinach, Cream & Mixed Cheeses
Geoffrey's in Malibu, CA
- rich, creamy, tender sweet Lobster Quiche with Tomatoes, Caramelized Onion, Swiss Cheese, Eggs, Lobster Vanilla Sauce & Mixed Greens
Le Pain Quotidien in Newport Beach, CA
- je t'aime the stringy Leeks & melty Cheese, Vegetable Quiche with Spinach, Mushrooms, Gruyere & Leeks
Bon Appetit!
