From IN-N-OUT to Father's Office, Baby's Badass Burgers rivals some of L.A.'s best, specifically with their Original Beauty Burger.
The Grubdown:
- tender, juicy, oozy Original Beauty Burger with Swiss, Grilled Onions, Sauteed Mushrooms & Baby's Secret Sauce (like a creamier version of IN-N-OUT's)
- cajun-spiced Pig Tails (a.k.a. Curly Fries)
Happy Food Truck Friday biters. This time I'm keepin' it short & savory, so you can go out and get your speedy meal on wheels!
If you're going to get one thing at Baby's Badass Burgers, make sure it's the Original Beauty Burger – my hand model (Evan) & I did and we weren't disappointed. In fact, this burger blew us away by how tender & flavorful it was, it is now on both our Top 3 Burger Must-Have List – and soon to be yours, too. Instead of ordering a Pair of Minis ($5), we decided to get less bun for our buck and go with the 1/2 pound Maneater ($7). You'll want to split it because this baby is big! The sesame seed bun had the perfect amount of bounce and crunch. The burger was thick and juicy. The combination of the savory Swiss, sweet Grilled Onions, and plump Sauteed Mushrooms really made this burger totally and completely satisfying. And the tanginess of the ooey, gooey creamy Special Sauce was so tasty we wished we ordered the dip on the side (50¢). Needless to say, we were lapping up the sauce on the cheesy paper in the end.
I really liked how Baby's brought back the Pig Tails curly fries ($2) – they don't get enough love in this truffle fries, tater tots day and age. I liked the cajun spice flavoring, but thought the fries were hit & miss. Some were perfectly crisp, others were dry.
While that is all we tried, Baby's also has 4 other burgers (including a Veggie) to try ($5-15), Chicken Sandwiches ($6), Mini Hot Dogs ($5), and Sweet Potato Fries ($3) or Chips ($2). You can also "Man-Up" any burger by adding 1-4 patties at $3 each, or add toppings like Bacon, Avocado, or Cheese for $1.
