I mean the headline really says it all – all of the juicy benefits of one great hot dog from The Greasy Wiener food truck, that is. Served up by 3 wise guys from New Jersey – wise as in innovative – Adam, Josh & Eric have married food with film. They take upcoming artists, musicians, comedians, etc. on the road with a camera crew, then broadcast interactive multi-media performances. Check out Monday's video of reality-star Tristan from YouControl TV (brought to you by producer Seth Green of the Family Guy).
Now on to the goods...
The Grubdown:
- crunchy, salty, tough 'n juicy The Original All Beef Greasy Wiener with Sauerkraut, Sauteed Onions, Pickle Slice & Mustard $4
First of all, I love the easy to go package the dog perfectly slides in – it's not too big, it's not too small, but fits just right.
Secondly, the long Pickle Wedge is genius. Who wants the mess of Relish when you can have a nice compact Pickle Wedge to eat on or off your dog?
Besides the Pickle, there's still a whole lot of crunch going on with the mound of toppings – these guys really make you work for it. The Sauerkraut is salty, peppery, and vinegary. The Onions add some bite, while the Mustard adds some spice. And the All-Beef Hot Dog is thick-skinned, but once you get in, the juices release, and well, you get the idea.
Altogether it's kind of addicting. I'm sure you'll be shoving that dog down your face faster than you can say Uncle.
They also serve Vegan "Hippy" Hot Dogs ($4), Bacon-wrapped Chili Cheese Bombs, Chicken Apple Sausage Specials ($6), Fries ($2), and "Iggys" ($5) or mini sliders.
Follow @TheGreasyWiener for Your Next Bite. Today, they'll be rolling on the Miracle Mile from 11am-3pm.
Um...like the style of your writing.*_*
