This past weekend, the hand model and I ventured out into the 104 degree heat for a weekend of sunny weather, pool partying, and decadent dining at Mister Parker's, Palm Springs. From the decor to the service and meal, we both cannot wait to go back.
Tucked behind a velvet curtain next to a psychedelic 60's painted door, Mister Parker's is adorned in black buttoned leather booths, modern jellyfish-like chandeliers, and cheeky Playboy style artwork. Our waiter, Stephen, couldn't have been more fabulous, greeting us with piping hot Sourdough Bread, cheerful conversation, and helpful travel tidbits the whole nite thru.
The meal was evenly paced, we never felt rushed, the plates were split complimentary, and they saved the best course for last.
The Grubdown:
- citrusy, perfectly dressed, unfortunately only had 2 crumbles of Blue Cheese, Salade d'Endives with Radicchio, Frisee, Asian Pear & Pomegranate Dressing $14
- didn't split this one to keep the perfect sear, tender with toast crunch, zesty 'n sweet sauce, Foie Gras with Caramelized Belgium Endive, Brioche, Red Wine Date Sauce & Cocoa Nibs $18
- melt in your mouth, tender to the touch, creamy potato with so-good-i-wanted-to-drink-it-sauce, Plate de Cotes de Boeuf Beef Short Ribs with Potato Puree, Carrots, Celery Root, Gaufrette & Red Wine Thyme Jus $38
Visiting The Parker hotel was a truly magical experience, transporting us back in time to a smart, sexy, secret garden labyrinth full of delicious grown up goodies.
