This weekend kicks off two exciting food fests in OC and LA from Fried Butter at the Orange County Fair to Little Spain's authentic Spanish Tapas at LA's Original Farmers Market.
The Grubdown:
Friday July 11th, eat your heart out (literally) with fried food fantasies at the opening of the Orange County Fair for $7-$12 per person
- better than I thought it would be, like a donut hole with a cookie crunch surprise inside, warm Fried Oreos with Chocolate Sauce & Rainbow Sprinkles
- cheesy consistency that made me kinda queasy, forget the cool ice cream, more like warm custard, Fried Klondike Bar with Chocolate Sauce
Tuesday July 14th from 5-9pm only, enjoy a taste of 50 different food stands & grocers at LA's Original Farmers Market for $35-$40 per person
- crowd favorite, sea salty, bittersweet, clam juicy, fluffy rice, Paella Mariscos with Clams, Mussels, Scallops, Calamari, Shrimp & Squid Ink
- must order, savory, succulent shredded meat that's juicy in every bite, Carne Deshebrada Tacos with Fresh Guacamole, Salsa Chipotle, and finely Chopped White Onion & Cilantro
- an interesting choice for a signature burger, but don't get me wrong because it's a Must Order with big earthy flavors, tanginess 'n tenderness, Short Order Burger with Grass Fed Beef, Morbler French Semi-Soft Cheese, Griddled Mushrooms, Bibb Lettuce & Mustardy Mayo
Bon Appetit!
