Last week, Fresh Brothers Pizza debuted in Orange County's Newport Beach Harbor View Center. Replacing the former zpizza, aptly named "Fresh Brothers" Michael & Scott Goldberg, definitely live up to "out with the old and in with the new attitude".
Hailing from Chicago, the two bring with them a no-holds-barred, fun & friendly spirit with spices from 'Bean Town' that make up their secret sauce. Like zpizza, they use the freshest ingredients too. They hand-make their dough daily and offer vegan & gluten-free options, Salads, and appetizers like Meatball Sliders, and Baked – not fried – Buffalo Wings.
While this is their 13th location to open in California, Fresh Brothers still stays true to their roots with a Deep Dish Crust option, party or tavern square cuts, and toppings stuffed under the cheese.
The Grubdown:
- subtly sweet like-your-nonna-used-to-make Tomato Sauce, crisp Peppers 'n flaky Crust, Da Works Pizza with Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom, Green Peppers & Onion Thin Crust Pizza
The secret to why Fresh Brothers beats it's former competition is really in the sauce, and the wise guys' fun 'n fresh attitude, too.
Mangia Mangia!
P.S. In 3 weeks the Newport Beach location will be getting its Beer & Wine license.
