It's time to break out your forks & knives because this past Monday, January 18th, dineL.A. Restaurant Week returned.
Over 300 restaurants throughout the L.A. area are serving up special prix-fixe meals ranging from $15 to $95+ per person.
Here's a list of some of my favorite dishes on the menu.
The Grubdown:
- simple, fresh, local, complete, Farmer's Lunch with Summer Vegetables, Tomato Eggplant Jam, Chickpea Puree, Burrata & Grilled Toast
- Jo's Wicked Good Chowda Sampler: 1.) Rhode Island simply stole my heart with straight fragrant Clam Juice, Chicken Broth & Butter 2.) New England was thin not thick and tasted just as good but with Cream & Paprika added 3.) Manhattan was the best I ever had because it wasn't watery, yet velvety with great Tomato depth, Potato rounds, Carrots & Celery
- sweet 'n sticky, cornmeal-crusted, Hey-Ha Party Chicken Wings with Sliced Green Onions
- hits the spot, juicy, gooey & tangy, PCB Plan Check Burger with "Americanized" Dashi Cheese, Ketchup Leather, Schmaltz Onions & Mixed Pickles
Bon Appetit!
