North Italia recently opened at the Park Place shopping complex in Irvine. Part of the Fox Restaurant Concepts group (same owners as True Food Kitchen), North Italia breathes new life into Italian food.
The Pasta and Pizza Dough are handmade from scratch, daily. The interior has a modern farmhouse feel. And, the bar and patio is where all the action's at.
The service is friendly, attentive, and on point. And the menu is chock full of mouth watering options.
Hopefully, this will help you narrow it down.
The Grubdown:
- brilliant raw & roasted combo, crunchy, creamy 'n filling, Roasted Green Vegetable Salad with Asparagus, Romanesco, Broccolini, Marcona Almonds, Grana Padano & Lemon Avocado Vinaigrette $12
- must order, perfectly al dente, Bolognese Pasta with traditional Meat Sauce, Tagliatelle Noodles & Grana Padano Cheese $19
- unique, creamy 'n eye-opening spice, Short Rib Radiatori Pasta with Parmesan Cream, Fresh Horseradish, Wilted Arugula & Herbed Breadcrumbs $21
- too much bread 'n not enough spread, Truffle Garlic Bread with housemade Ricotta, Grana Padano & Herbs $11
Even though the portions aren't huge, we left feeling full with leftovers, and no room for Dessert.
The food is priced on the higher side, but you can definitely taste the difference with handmade ingredients.
North Italia is offering a special Mother's Day Brunch, featuring Mediterranean Sea Bass, Short Ribs & Polenta, and Diver Scallops & Risotto.
Bon Appetit Mama!
