If you're still pining for the poultry, then I've got a cluckin' good Fried Chicken spot for you.
Crack Shack is a fast casual concept that serves locally sourced food by Top Chef Winner Richard Blais, as well as Jon Sloan, Michael Rosen, and Dan Pena.
I first visited the Crack Shack in San Diego a year ago. So, I was more than thrilled when I found out they opened up a spot just a few weeks ago in Orange County. Their newest and first location in OC is off of 17th Street and Orange in Costa Mesa.
The restaurant is a 2 level playground for kids and adults. It features a bar with Craft Beers & Cocktails, a sky-lit dining atrium, a place to sit fireside, and a corn-hole play area for the 'lil cluckers'.
Whether you're dining in or out, here's what to order from Fried Chicken to Slaw and a slew of other goodies.
The Grubdown:
- crispy outside, super juicy inside, buttermilk flavor with just the right amount of grease, Fried Chicken 10 PC $15.00
- creamy 'n crunchy with a kick, Classic Slaw with Pickled Fresno Chilies, Pickles, Lime Mayo & Napa Cabbage $5.00
- perfect size for the kiddos with a sour touch, Original Chicken Oysters with Pickle Brine & Mustard Seed Tartar ($5.00 as an Add-On to the Classic Slaw)
- my Top 3 to dip are Sriracha Thousand Island, Kimchi BBQ, and Sweet Heat Sauces (complimentary)
'Bone' Appetit!
